There's no better way to start the new season by taking a trip to the coast and enjoying a fun weekend of soccer.  To view more information about the tournament and to register, please visit the tournament website by clicking here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHT Real Athletic Development (RAD) is pleased to announce the addition of an exhibition match between NCAA division 1 college, University of Central Arkansas (UCA), and University of Mobile (UM) to the Beat the Heat Soccer Showcase presented by RAD on August 17 & 18 in Destin, Florida. “We are very excited to be a part of Beat the Heat,” says UCA assistant soccer coach Ryan Webb. “To play in front of competitive youth soccer teams from across the southeast is something we hope will inspire the future stars of our sport. “ In addition to training at Destin’s Morgan Sports Complex in the days leading up to the exhibition match, the coaching staff will be scouting top talent at the Beat the Heat tournament. “The southeast is known for having amazing young athletes. We are always looking for top tier talent to be a part of our program,” says Webb. “Scouting these type of showcase tournaments is part of what we do at UCA. It’s also a great way for us to reach outside our state and do some real networking with coaches and players.” The Beat the Heat Soccer Showcase is expected to draw top level competitive soccer teams in the U8 to U18 divisions from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, as well as central and south Florida. The event will kick off Friday night, August 16, 2013 with team check-in and coaches networking event at Fudpucker's Beachside Bar & Grill. Games begin Saturday and continue with champions crowned on Sunday afternoon.

Click on the banner to visit the site GSA Adidas Invitational 2013 Coaches and Team Managers, GOL Soccer Academy is very excited to announce that the annual GSA Adidas Invitational tournament will be held December 7-8, 2013 in the Atlanta Metro area.  The GSA Invitational is an unrestricted tournament and is geared for teams from U9 Academy through U19 boys and girls.  All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games with finals in all age groups.  For girls teams who wish to participate in a Showcase format GSA will be holding its annual Adidas Women's Showcase December 6, 7 and 8th.  SEC, ACC, Southern Conference and The Peach Belt Conference coaches to name a few conferences, will be in attendance. Last year, GSA hosted over 350 teams for the Adidas Invitational and anticipate the same or greater numbers this year. GSA hosted teams from FL, GA, AL, TN, SC, NC, and MS. ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Mexico vs. Trinidad y Tobago 2013 (en vivo live score results below) heads to Georgia this weekend. CONCACAF Gold Cup officials tell news tonight that the Mexico Copa Oro game is being played Saturday July 20, 2013 with a start time of noon PST, or 3 PM EST.

Mexico vs. Trinidad y Tobago 2013 will be the first of two games being played Saturday. Panama vs. Cuba will play three hours later, also at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. But there is a twist to these quarterfinals. If Mexico wins Saturday, it could possibly face Panama in the semifinals. Cuba is not expected to be a strong competitor to Panama, having narrowly advanced to the quarterfinals. So could there be a Mexico vs. Panama semifinals?

If Mexico and Panama both win their quarterfinals game, fans will get a Mexico vs. Panama 2013 Copa Oro semifinals game on July 24 en vivo from Cowboys Stadium. This would be the second time that Mexico and Panama have met in this Copa. Both teams met in their opening match of this Copa, a game that Panama won 1-2.

But can Mexico beat Trinidad? The key as LALATE has been reporting all week is Fabian. Marco Fabian has scored in every game for Mexico in this Gold Cup. But his teammates cannot rely on him only to score. He has scored in the first half of games, second half of games, and even on penalty kicks. But for Mexico to win this Mexico vs. Trinidad y Tobago game, they need to have more players support Fabian in his offense.

KAZAN, Russia --- Former Georgia soccer goalkeeper Ashley Baker led Great Britain to the gold medal at the World University Games as her squad scored four goals in the last 10 minutes to defeat Mexico by a score of 6-2 Monday afternoon in Kazan, Russia.

Baker posted three shutouts during her team’s run to the championship. Great Britain used a 2-1 record to move out of the group stage, then defeated Ireland and Brazil en route to the final match.

After graduating from UGA following last season, Baker made her professional debut with Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in early June. She was the 20th overall pick in the league’s college draft in January, selected in the third round. As a senior for UGA last fall, she posted 112 saves and recorded five shutouts in 19 starts and 1,786 minutes of action. She concluded her career with 305 career saves – fourth all-time.

Baker’s international resume includes a call-up to the England Senior National Team in December of 2012, which included a trip to La Manga, Spain as the team geared up for the 2013 UEFA Women’s Championships. She has experience with the England U23 team and played with the U20s in the Women’s World Cup in both 2008 and 2010.

The ability to attract teams, leagues and partners to the W2W facility is an essential part of the role. The Soccer Business Development Manager will also lead an annual Soccer Internship Program and will establish links to all local collegiate soccer programs. The position will be based at the W2W facility in Roswell, GA and a flexible, mobile schedule is encourage. The ability to create, develop and manage new sports events at the W2W facility is an essential part of the role. The position is offered with a salary plus competitive commission structure.
