How does Manchester United versus Manchester City affect people in Atlanta

With the mega derby looming between Sir Alex’s United and Mancini’s City, people are alre
ady losing sleep in anticipation. Not many are used to the arrival of the derby with City top of the English Premier League and United chasing. Both teams are coming off difficult Champions League matches.
While much of the world will be focused on the action in England, people in Atlanta will be huddled around the tv wishing that they could be there. Although the action will be in Manchester, the party will reach Atlanta. Atlanta’s prognosticators have been shinning their crystal balls and dusting off their Tarot cards. Current PTS leader Weaux is picking C
ity to win the derby and the league. Team Weaux manager, Weaux, masquerades as a loyal ATT technology executive by day but at night he applies his trade as a striker for Rovers. His latest heroes are Manchester City, David Silva and Manager Mancini. Weaux believes that Mancini is to Silva what the Special One was to Drogba. His proof was evidenced in a recent quote by Silva.

Silva said: “But first and foremost I am even more grateful for the faith he has shown in me since I signed for the club. It is always very difficult when you are changing countries, changing leagues, changing style of football.”
While most in Atlanta have been focusing on Weaux’s league leading performance, others have been stealing the limelight. Marietta Liverpool manager, Franklin Young has been heard about town exalting himself for his rise to second place. Mr Young has also taken exception to this reporter by writing to the editors of this publication

“To all,

I was told by several people that my point haul is the largest single week point haul ever in the Atlanta Soccer News Predict the Score League...
And just so I'm not misquoted by some "Hasselhoff" hack writer put these in your pipe and smok'em'!!!
Franklin Young's, aka "the record breaker" record breaking quotes of da' week:
Form is fleeting...Quality is Forever...
When Daddy comes home it's to eat supper it's time for all the children to pack it u cause play time is over...
Pure genius can not be taught, coached, or replaced...it's god given...
If I could clone myself I would for the betterment of humanity!!!
And the scary part of it all is it's only week 8....

I might take a week or two off to keep it interesting..I'd hate to run away with this deal in the first third of the season...

Reds Baby!!!!!”

When the letter was presented to many in the community, people were heard making statements like “obviously the rantings and ravings or a lunatic!, “delusional” and “he needs to switch to decaf”

Marietta Liverpool was excited because Liverpool tied Man U and Steven Gerrard scored. Weaux was heard belittling Marietta Liverpool by saying “Funny how a little pea put a stain on Liverpool’s clean sheet” making reference to Chicharrito (little pea in Spanish) goal. “How weak is Marietta Liverpool that he gets excited by reaching second place. Very similar to the real Liverpool that got excited when they ties ManU”

The Atlanta Soccer News would like to wish all our friends a Happy Manchester Derby Day! We hope all our families and friends give thanks and remember those less fortunate who are following Georgia Bulldogs.

  1. The two best teams in England right now - everybody else in the EPL are just so many bald men fighting over a comb.

Manchester United will draw with Manchester City but United will ultimately go on to win another Premiership title, becoming the most succesful English team of all time in the process.

City will retain the FA cup and their reserves may add the league cup but the true prize - the Champions League - will again be won by those swashbuckling socialists from the Camp Nou.

Behold the people's champions - Barca.

  2. Congrats to those "exulted" leaders mentioned above.
