Atlanta Soccer News: Art, Music and Culture: Event Alert: Message from FC Georgia United SoccerFest Charity Committee

Thanks to all who participated in the FC Georgia United 2014 Soccer Fest. We had nearly 95 players, who, along with our sponsors and individual donors, helped raise $4600.

 

Our charities - the Calvary Children's Home and Michelle Akers Horse Rescue will be the recipients of these funds via specific "needed items".

 

As is our policy, we have asked each of the charities to provide our Charity Committee with a list of their "needs". In turn, we reviewed the lists and will provide the following:

 

To the Calvary Children's Home:

 

1.    Five new Toshiba laptops;

2.    One new 5'X12' utility trailer;

3.    One new TI 84 graphing calculator.

 

To Michelle Akers Horse Rescue:

 

1.    Five large infrared heat lamps for the stable;

2.    A variety of horse feed.

 

Everything will be delivered by the end of this week.
