Youth Update: Stoke City FC announce Georgia Rush first youth club partner for the North American Academy

Stoke City FC Welcomes Georgia Rush As First Youth Soccer Club Partner
Global Image Sports (GIS) and Stoke City FC are proud to announce Georgia Rush as the first youth club partner for the North American Academy.
"Georgia Rush are delighted to partner with Stoke City from the English Premier League. Georgia Rush is always looking provide our players with the best possible training environments. Our partnership with Stoke City will allow us to accelerate their learning with a professional club that has a proven track record of success at the highest level of the game. This is a truly unique relationship and we would like to thank GIS and Stoke City for this opportunity."
Earlier this fall, Stoke City Football Club agreed to a partnership with Global Image Sports to launch it's International Academy. Stoke City is GIS' ninth European Professional Soccer Club partnership. West Ham United, ChievoVerona, Rangers Football Club, FC Utrecht of the Dutch Eredivisie, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic are among GIS' other partners.
Growing the Stoke City brand and building up a fan base on this side of the Atlantic is important. Well known U.S. National Team players Break Shea and Geoff Cameron are at Stoke and reaching out to the youth soccer market is highly rewarding.
Phase one of the project was a well prepared roll out of Stoke City's Academy in the USA designed to generate key praetorships with a select number of youth soccer clubs. Partner youth soccer clubs' coaches and players have the opportunity to work directly with the Stoke City Academy coaches in both North America and the United Kingdom. This program offers a unique insight into the player development program of one of England's top football Academies.
Academy Manager, Dave Wright said, "The globalisation of the game in recent years and in particular the growth in North America makes this an exciting project for Stoke City and our Academy."
The Stoke City International Academy will be hosting a series of Player ID Events with it's partner clubs during 2015, culminating in the Stoke City Elite Player Experience, directed by Wright and his senior staff from the Academy.
