Rec Teams Cap Season at Georgia Kohl's American Cup
OVER 1900 PLAYERS TAKE THE FIELD AT THE GEORGIA KOHL’S AMERICAN CUP
The Georgia Kohl’s American Cup, for recreational teams only, was held November 10-11 at McCurry Park North and South in Fayetteville, Tyus/Cowan Park in Griffin and OC Hubert Park in Acworth, GA.
The event is part of the Kohl’s US Youth Soccer American Cup, the largest recreational youth soccer tournament in the United States. More than 138 teams played tournament with Divisions for u10 through u19 boys and girls. This was the 8th year that Georgia has hosted the event.
In addition to a weekend of excellent weather and lots of good soccer, each team received lots of tournament goodies including a Chipotle game ball, Publix string bags for every player, Chipotle coupons for free food, Kohl’s wrist bands and lanyards, a ball bag and coach’s clipboard and more.
The Kohl’s American Cup offers youth soccer players an opportunity to play in a high-quality tournament with a fun, competitive and family-like atmosphere. The program was started by US Youth Soccer as an avenue to highlight recreational soccer players and promote fair play. Players receive equal opportunities and benefits within their own level with an emphasis on participation, fair play and balanced competition.
