Atlanta Fire United College Prep Program Schedule Announced!
Phase 1: Wednesday, November 14th - 7 PM
Join us to discuss the college process and what high school soccer players need to be doing to get recruited. We have separated our Atlanta Fire United Soccer Association College Prep program into three phases this year:
Phase 1: November 14th Meeting - To cover the early and middle stages of the processing including the targeting of the schools, communication with the coaches and the marketing of the player.
Phase 2: January 2013 Meeting - A grouping of College Coaches from various Universities/Colleges will be presenting to the group and will be answering questions. Will also have some current AFUSA alumni who are currently playing/attending college speak and answer questions from the attending players/families.
Phase 3: April 2013 College ID Camps - Will conduct College ID Camps where players will train with and play in front of a selected group of University/College coaches. This will give a more hands on approach with the players and coaches and better familiarize these coaches with our players in a training/playing environment.
The AFUSA College Prep Meetings are open to all AFUSA membership but are targeted at our U15 - U17 AFUSA athletes and family members. This will be a great opportunity to become more knowledgeable of the recruitment process and familiarize yourself with the steps needed to be taken to push the process forward.
