Support for the WHY IT MATTERS annual giving campaign allows the Northwest Family YMCA to meet unmet community needs. We aspire to leave a legacy for future generations by bringing people together to champion communities where everyone belongs.
This past Christmas, the YMCA Adult Soccer League was the largest donor of toys to MUST Ministries, one of our strategic partners that provides meals and services for kids and families in Cobb County. Thank you!
Today, we met with MUST Ministries to talk about how we can grow our partnership to provide more meals to underserved children in our community this summer. Right now, 1 out of every 4 kids in Cobb County does not have enough food to eat when school is out. Hundreds of children over winter break were counting days for school to start so they could have something to eat. Many of these children benefit from weekend food backpack programs or winter and summer feeding programs, but there are many more children to be fed.
This summer, our goal is to provide 1,000 meals to children at eight sites throughout Cobb County. We need your help to make this a reality.
Our goal is to raise $8,000 this week so we are able to serve more kids. For a gift of $10, $20 or $50, you can make a difference in a child's life by providing a healthy meal to a hungry child.
