Research Study

Title: Language and Literacy Skills of Preschool Children with Traumatic Brain Injury

We are comparing the language and reading skills of children who had a brain injury to children who had a broken bone

We need your help!

We are currently recruiting children ages 6 through 10 years who had a brain injury or a broken bone sometime between birth and the age of 5 years to participate in a study to understand how they are learning language and reading. We will see your child one time a year for three years.

If your child is eligible for this study he/she will receive language and reading testing at a Children’s
Healthcare location closest to your home. You will receive $25.00 for your time each visit.

Funding by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)

Julie Haarbauer-Krupa, PhD, Principle Investigator
