Dasani are hoping to get back on track after a 4-1 victory over E&P Silverbacks. But it wasn’t an easy win, as Marlon Aarons put the visitors up 1-0 with a goal on the counterattack early in the match. But Dasani responded with two goals to take back the lead, and then finished off the match with two more in the second 45. Top goal-scorer Wickaldo Evans netted a brace, while Ryan Baird and Patrick Williams also scored for Dasani, who nabbed a much-needed win after losing their previous three matches.
Inter ATL FC gave second place Nuesoft FC a run for their money, but couldn’t find the finishing touch or defensive consistency to garner a result. Sidney Smith opened up the scoring for Inter in the first 15 minutes to give them a surprising lead. NFC quickly equalized, but it was Inter who took the lead back after a fine individual goal from star striker Tornubari Nyoebue. A controversial hand ball in the box helped the favorites equalize just before half. Then, the more experienced Nuesoft side took control, scoring two hardfought goals from scrambles in the box. Inter fought their way back into the game, and Ryan Smith did well to lob the Nuesoft keeper to make it 4-3. Then, a red card saw NFC go down to ten-men. With Inter pushing for the equalizer, Nuesoft’s leading scorer Ismael Satubalov suddenly found himself with space and time on the ball, and his hard work lead to a rather soft fifth goal on a deflected cross. Majestic Red’s surprising season continued with a 4-1 win over Estudiantes. The visitors got on the board first after a flurry of chances for Estudiantes, with Dan Roberts converting from the spot. It was 2-0 soon after, but Estudiantes kept it close thanks to another penalty kick, with Jose Fonseca scoring his tenth of the season. Majestic Red played the tactics perfectly in the second 45 minutes, sitting back and letting the more technically skilled Estudiantes press their defense, only to catch them on the counterattack, which lead to two more goals to ice the match. Pete Olsson scored for Majestic while Roman Bourret netted a brace. The leaders of the white division are simply on a roll, having gone unbeaten since a Matchday 2 loss to Terminus FC.
Atlanta Red Star FC couldn’t keep their win streak alive, dropping their first match in five tries in a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat to Terminus FC. The visitors got on the board early, as Brian Williams was first to a long ball behind the defense, and slotted between goalkeeper Aamad Testo’s legs to take an early lead. But the introduction of Fode Diallo turned the match on its head, as the Red Star left back combined well with Blake Rivera to get behind the defense, and finished well to the far post. Then, he scored a brilliant individual goal, beating several defenders down the left and cutting inside before seeing his low shot bounce of a defender and into the goal. With things seemingly not going their way, Terminus stayed positive and continued to ask questions of the Red Star defense. A fine run up the left side resulted in a rather unlucky own goal, as a low cross bounced off of Testo and then Red Star center-half Omar Camara and into the goal. Terminus kept the pressure on against a shell-shocked Red Star, and Matt Cesari rocketed a left-footed strike on the break to win the match.
