Soccer: Lady Chargers win in penalty shootout
The North Georgia Christian Lady Chargers soccer team defeated the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Crusaders in a penalty shootout on Thursday at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville.
After trailing 3-0 at halftime, the Lady Chargers stormed back in the second half with goals from Nicole Ball, Taylor Stewart, and Drake Spratlin to force the shootout.
Esther Lloyd, Ball, Sarah Rhodes, and Rachel Maclagan each converted spot kicks in the shootout, while Georgia Clark stopped two of the attempts to preserve the win.
The Lady Chargers are now 6-3 on the season and will play again on Friday night in McDonough against Creekside Christian Academy.
