Brookhaven, GA, April 8, 2015 – by the Post Reports – Atlanta Soccerfest today officially announced that the location for SOCCERFEST II, “The Final Countdown” will be Brookhaven Park. Brookhaven Park was the site of the 2014 Soccerfest which drew over 20,000 soccer fans to cheer on the USA vs Portugal in their second match of the FIFA World Cup. This time around, SOCCERFEST II will be showing the third place match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Independence Day – Saturday, July 4th – and the World Cup Final on Sunday, July 5th.
Along with the World Cup viewing parties, Soccerfest is planning a Brookhaven Movie night on Friday July 3rd, soccer tournaments and games throughout the weekend, as well as food trucks, a kids fun zone, and FIFA XBOX Tournaments. Soccerfest will also bring back the popular Soccer Arcade on Sunday prior to the World Cup Final.
In addition to all of the soccer festivities, Soccerfest also announces the First Annual Brookhaven BBQ Bash, which will take place on Saturday, July 4th, prior to the showing of the third place match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.  The Brookhaven BBQ Bash will be a Georgia BBQ Association (GBA) sanctioned competition with a total purse of $10,000, one of the largest in GBA history.  The BBQ Competition will also include a People’s Choice Award where the public will get a chance to sample BBQ from some of the best BBQ teams in the Southeast.
Soccerfest President Craig Fanti said about the BBQ BASH: “It just make sense to us. What is more patriotic than BBQ on the Forth of July? Add beer to that and a blues concert on the main stage, you can’t go wrong!”
Registration will officially open for the BBQ Competition on Monday, April 13th. For more information, visit brookhavenbbqbash.com.
Soccerfest is also proud to announce partnerships once again with Georgia Soccer and Dragon Goal USA.

Georgia Soccer members will be in attendance to cheer on the US Women’s National Team on their journey to become Women’s World Cup Champions. If you love soccer – you won’t want to miss the 2015 Atlanta Soccerfest.”
