Steve Archibald and Paul Canoville will be playing in the 2015 ATL Champions League, presented by Profisee. They will be raising funds for Soccer in the Streets and its metro Atlanta programs that empower underserved youth.
"This year's ATL Champions League keeps getting bigger," said Soccer in the Streets co-chairman Joe Hall. "Adding respected players like Steve and Paul, along with MLS Atlanta's Carlos Bocanegra, will only help us in our goal to provide more programming to kids in need."

Ten teams will be competing on and off the field in this event. Atlanta's most passionate soccer fans will be representing their favorite clubs in the event. The tournament is coed and played with a 7v7 format.
Steve Archibald played in the 1982 and 1986 World Cups for Scotland.  He won two FA Cups and a UEFA Cup with Tottenham before moving on to Barcelona. He helped Barca win its first La Liga title in 11 years in 1984.

"Steve Archibald is a true Tottenham legend," said Michael Constantinou, chairman of the Atlanta Spurs.  "He was a key member of the team during one of the most successful periods in our history and all of us at Atlanta Spurs are thrilled and excited to welcome him to Atlanta."

Paul Canoville had a promising career cut short by injuries, but is best known as the first black player to feature for Chelsea. He was part of the Chelsea squad that won the Second Division in 1984. His memoir, Black and Blue, has won a number of awards.

"We believe Paul Canoville has a lot to offer to Soccer in the Streets," said Brenda D'Arcy, club secretary of the Atlanta Blues. "From talking with teenagers and doing a skills clinic for the younger children, Paul will be able to share his amazing story of overcoming adversity with youth who will benefit from this kind of role model."
