Jim Ellis Chevrolet Scores a Goal for Area Youth Soccer
Jim Ellis Chevrolet Donates More than $2,100 in Cash and Sports Equipment to City of Chamblee
The Jim Ellis Automotive Group has been a part of this community for over 40 years and enjoy supporting our youth sports teams.
Jim Ellis Chevrolet, one of 37 Chevrolet dealers from the Atlanta area that partnered with local youth soccer leagues for the 2011 season, raised nearly $98345 in total donations from the dealership and private parties. In addition to monetary support, Jim Ellis Chevrolet provided the City of Chamblee with equipment donations, and an opportunity to raise and keep up to $10,000 through a unique fundraiser, and participation in an instructional soccer clinic.
“Chevrolet has a long history with youth sports and we’re glad we were able to bring that commitment to our youth soccer leagues in Atlanta where our customers and their families live, work, and play,” said Mark Frost, General manager for Jim Ellis Chevrolet. “The Jim Ellis Automotive Group has been a part of this community for over 40 years and enjoy supporting our youth sports teams.”
The City of Chamblee previously had the opportunity to raise as much as $10,000 through a fundraising opportunity. One lucky winner in each region won his or her choice of a 2012 Chevy Cruze or Equinox. Another lucky winner in the Atlanta-area received a home entertainment package. One-hundred percent of the proceeds of the fundraiser went directly to the league.
“We are delighted to be involved with youth soccer,” said Frost, of Jim Ellis Chevrolet. “Sponsoring the City of Chamblee gave us the opportunity to illustrate our commitment to the youth and families in Atlanta and we’re glad to have achieved such positive outcome for the community.”
In 2011, more than 700 Chevrolet dealers participated in Chevy Youth Soccer across the USA.
