High School Soccer in Lilburn Update: Parkview Advances to State Semifinals in Girls Soccer

Parkview Advances to State Semifinals in Girls Soccer

The Panthers reach the final four with a 4-0 win over Tift County.
Parkview High School qualified for the Georgia High School Association semifinals in Class AAAAAA girls soccer Friday night in Lilburn.
The Panthers defeated Tift County 4-0 at Parkview's "Big Orange Jungle" stadium.
One of the highlights of the evening was sophomore Kristin Telford scoring two of Parkview's four goals. She told Patch that it's not something she normally achieves.
"Usually I'm on the assist side," she said. "Usually I'm the one passing, so it did feel kind of good to be on the finishing side, but I'm really thankful that my teammates were able to get the ball to me in a good area so I was able to finish."
Telford and the team are excited to be this far into the season.
"It feels really good to make it to the final four, considering that last year we lost in the first round," she added.
Parkview will host South Forsyth in the final fourTuesday, May 14. South Forsyth beat Hillgrove 6-3, also Friday night.
The Panthers have previously won seven GHSA girls soccer titles.
