University of Georgia Women's Soccer 2013 Schedule PDF


ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team on Tuesday unveiled its schedule for the upcoming 2013 season – a slate highlighted by six games against 2012 NCAA Tournament participants and 11 home contests coming to the UGA Soccer Stadium.
The Bulldogs will play 11 Southeastern Conference games instead of 13 in the second season of league expansion, as teams will have two open dates on selected conference weekends. Georgia will not play Vanderbilt or Tennessee during the regular season in 2013.
Georgia will kick off the 2013 campaign in exhibition action at home vs. The Citadel, before opening the regular season on the road against the University of Texas and Houston Aug. 23-25. The home opener is set for Fri., Aug. 30 vs. Mercer at 7 p.m. Georgia’s other non-conference match-ups include Furman, Jacksonville, Long Beach State, and the College of Charleston at home as well as UNC Greensboro on the road.
The SEC opener for the Bulldogs will come Fri., Sept. 20 vs. South Carolina at 7 p.m. in Athens. Georgia’s home conference slate in 2013 includes the Gamecocks, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Florida, while the squad will take on Missouri, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas on the road.
The 2013 SEC Championships is set for Nov. 4-10 at the tournament’s neutral-site home – the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Orange Beach, Ala.
