Free Soccer Clinic at Orion School the next 4 Saturdays for children who need a more supportive program

Free Soccer Clinic the next 4 Saturdays for children who need a more supportive program
Saturdays 11 AM - 12:30 PM until Oct 6, 2012
The Orion School (www.theorionschool.org) is again sponsoring our free drop-in Soccer Clinics for children ages 5-13 who need a more supportive program for success. Typical participants have neurobehavioral conditions including Asperger's, anxiety related conditions and ADHD. The goal is to give an opportunity for a low stress alternative to traditional soccer leagues and to build self confidence through skill development and participation in a recreational sport. Children experience being part of a team, learning rules and practicing sport skills through engaging warm ups, drills and scrimmages. There is an awards ceremony for all participants on the last clinic on October 6th....regardless of how many mornings attended.

The clinics also give parents a chance to just relax and connect with other supportive families. At least one adult needs to stay and siblings ages 5 and up are welcome to join the fun. Healthy snacks to share are a welcome addition!

The experienced coaches for the soccer clinics include Jacob Echevarria, a certified physical education instructor with a lifetime of experience and passion for playing and coaching soccer and team sports. Jacob also directs the Orion School's after school program and has a business that provides physical education options for homeschool students.
