Atlanta Soccer Alumni Game Announced
The Atlanta Silverbacks, Georgia’s only active professional soccer team, have announced that they will host the Atlanta Pro Soccer Alumni Game as part of their pregame festivities on November 2 when they host the New York Cosmos at Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
The Silverbacks are inviting every former player, coach, or front office member of an Atlanta professional soccer team to participate. The city has been home to a number of professional teams on both the men’s and women’s side, which include the Atlanta Chiefs, Atlanta Apollos, Atlanta Magic, Atlanta Attack, Atlanta Ruckus, Atlanta Beat, Atlanta Silverbacks, and Atlanta Silverbacks Women.
The club’s front office has already begun its outreach to many of the former players, coaches, and front office staff members from those aforementioned teams, and looks forward to hosting them on the stadium field prior to the Silverbacks’ home game against one of America’s most recognizable and historic teams, the New York Cosmos.
The alumni game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on November 2 – exactly two hours before the professional match that night. The club will also host a short reception following the alumni game, giving old friends an opportunity to catch up before watching the Silverbacks take on the Cosmos.
If you’re a former player, coach, or front office member of one of Atlanta’s many professional soccer teams, please contact Silverbacks Marketing Assistant Ryan Miller to RSVP or learn more information.
