Amateur Club Holds Tryouts

Atlanta Silverbacks Amateur Club will hold open tryouts on August 21 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. The tryouts are for men’s teams competing in the Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League (ADASL) in the D1, D2, and D3 divisions.
On the date of tryouts, players should come to the north gate at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. Each participant must bring a completed waiver and registration form, as well as a light and a dark jersey. Tryouts will consist of short warm-ups, small-sided games, and full 11-a-side games. Current members of the Amateur Club are welcome to come play.
The ADASL season runs from September until April and consists of approximately 18 games. The cost to play varies by team but ranges from $200-$450 for the season and includes fees for registration, field use, practice space, and uniforms.
The Atlanta Silverbacks also have an amateur women’s team that competes in the second division in the Greater Atlanta Women’s Soccer Association (GAWSA). The women’s season runs from mid-September to mid-November with games played on Sundays. There are no tryouts for the women’s team.
