he Atlanta Silverbacks will play the second game of their three-match road trip Sunday

The Atlanta Silverbacks will play the second game of their three-match road trip Sunday when they take the Montreal Impact at Saputo Stadium. Both teams are coming off mid-week games and are neck and neck in the NASL standings.
The MLS-bound Impact (3-10-7) tied FC Tampa Bay 3-3 on Wednesday night in Montreal. Forward Eduardo Sebrango scored twice in the match, giving him a team-best five on the season. Allowing three goals in a match was a rarity for the Impact, who have allowed an average of only 1.25 goals per match this season, third best in the league. Goalkeeper Evan Bush has recorded 44 saves and three shutouts in nine games this season.
The Silverbacks (3-14-3) produced an offensive outburst in June and July but have struggled this month. After finding the net in eight consecutive games, they have been held scoreless in their past three. The Silverbacks fell to the Puerto Rico Islanders 2-0, Wednesday in Bayamón Puerto Rico.
As the Silverbacks work to break out of their longest scoring drought since May, they look for production from team-leading scorer Matt Horth, who has tallied three goals this season against the Impact. Atlanta will also watch to see what new signee Nico Cololuca can contribute offensively, days after the midfielder made his debut as a substitute in Puerto Rico.
This will be the third match between the Silverbacks and the Impact this season. In the last meeting, the teams played to a 2-2 draw July 17 in Montreal. Horth led the visitors’ effort, scoring a goal in each half and earning NASL Offensive Player of the Week for his performance. The teams first met June 8 at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, a match that the Silverbacks won 2-1 for their first victory of the season.
The Silverbacks and Impact will kick off at 6:17 p.m. Sunday. A webcast of the match will stream live at atlantasilverbacks.com/live; fans are also invited to come watch the webcast together under the concession stand tent at Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
After concluding their road trip August 21 in Edmonton, the Silverbacks will return home to Atlanta Silverbacks Park to take on the Carolina RailHawks Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. For tickets, visit atlantasilverbacks.com or call (404) 969-4900.
